The 25th James Bond film No Time To Die surpassed the $600 million mark at the global box office on Halloween weekend. Daniel Craig’s last James Bond film which received very strong reviews and a slightly disappointing US opening achieved this feat last weekend thanks to its opening in China. In its opening weekend, the film grossed an estimated 28.2 million at the box office which was the third-largest opening for a Hollywood title in the region this year.
The number was slightly lower than projections for the weekend, given the contributing factor was the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in China over the past few days. In the current era of the pandemic, passing 600 million dollars at the box office is something to be proud of. For a film that opened with an estimated 56 million and surpassed 300 million in its opening weekend in America, it’s not easy for the film to consistently perform like this in its 4th week.
Director Cary Joji Fukunaga’s film remains strong in an already opened market as it returned to number one at the UK box office this week to become the sixth highest-grossing film of all time on the market. With this, the film has surpassed films like “Titanic” and “Star Wars: The Last Jedi”.
In addition, the film has earned 1 million Euros in the UK for 30 consecutive days. In that market “No Time To Die” has earned 116.4 million which is in line with “Spectre” and “Skyfall” at the same point in time. In other, smaller markets, “No Time to Die” has grossed $62 million in Germany, 26.1 million in France and 18.4 million to date in the Netherlands, making it the biggest Universal release of all time in the region.
In addition to the James Bond films, there are several new films that are eagerly awaited by film lovers that may exceed the revenue of the film No Time To Die. Here are the films:
