Mr. Movies Zoo: The Missing VIP starring Lee Sung-min. Mr. Zoo: The Missing VIP tells the life of a South Korean National Security agent named Joo Tae-joo, played by Lee Sung-min. He was suddenly able to talk to animals. It all started when Joo Tae-joo, who didn’t like animals, wanted to get promoted. He then volunteered to be Ming-Ming’s bodyguard, a VIP guest from China.
Tae-joo is shocked to learn that Ming-ming is not a human, but a panda. Even though he doesn’t like animals, Tae-joo is still willing to take care of Ming-ming. Tae-joo manages to protect Ming-ming until he lands in South Korea. But the panda is kidnapped by a mysterious group of men until Tae-jo loses track of them.
In the midst of the chaos, Tae-joo falls unconscious. From then on, he could talk to animals. Slowly, he uses that ability to find Ming-ming and maintain his position.
Apart from Lee Sung-min, Mr. Zoo: Missing VIP also stars Kim Seo-hyung, Kal So-won, and Bae Jung-nam. A number of well-known South Korean artists also voice actors in this film, such as Lee Sun-kyun, Lee Jung-eun, Kal So-won, Yoo In-na, Kim Soo-mi, and Kim Bo-sung.
The film was written and directed by Kim Tae-yoon who is also known for directing other Korean films, such as A Cruel Attendance (2006), Another Promise (2013), and New Trial (2017).
Mr. Zoo: The Missing VIP premiered in Korea on January 22, 2020. This film managed to gross US$4.13 million. Mr. Zoo: The Missing VIP then airs in Indonesia since March 10, 2020 at the CGV Cinema and Cinepolis cinema networks.
