Streaming Services of learning Student for Discounts

School is in session and students are back on college campuses across the country. Streaming your favorite shows and movies.

After class, during class (I’ve seen it), and as a much-needed study break has never been easier. With over 300 streaming services available, there’s no shortage of on-demand content ready for your viewing. Luckily, several streaming services offer discounts to college students. Get ready to save some cash and get your binge.

Hulu

The Hulu student discount allows college students to stream unlimited shows and movies on the ad-supported plan for just $1.99/month (regularly $5.99/month). This 65% discount is valid as long as you are enrolled at a Title IV accredited U.S. college or university and your enrollment is verified by Hulu’s partner, SheerID. If you already subscribe to Hulu, log into your account and navigate to the student discount page to apply the discount to your current ad-supported plan.

Paramount+

College students get 25% off of the Paramount+ Essential monthly plan (originally $4.99/month). This subscription comes with over 30,000 episodes and movies on demand, exclusive originals, and live sports like the NFL on CBS and UEFA Champions League. The Essential monthly plan has limited commercial interruptions and the option to cancel your plan at any time. Similar to Hulu, Paramount+ uses SheerID to verify your student status.

Amazon Prime

The e-commerce and entertainment powerhouse is offering college students a free six-month Amazon Prime membership. After the six-month trial, students can enjoy Prime Student for $6.49/month (originally $12.99/month). Students get access to Amazon Prime Video’s entire catalog of TV shows and movies. Movie lovers also have the option to add on premium video channels like Epix, Showtime, and Sundance Now for $0.99 a month each (up to 12 months).

Apple Music with Apple TV+

Binge fan-favorite Apple Originals “Ted Lasso” and “The Morning Show” for free with the Apple Music student subscription. The Apple Music Student Plan is $4.99/month for up to four years for eligible students (verified through UNiDAYS) and comes with free Apple TV+ for a limited time.

Discovery+

Active, eligible students can stream Discovery+ with limited ads for $2.99/month (originally $4.99/month), after a seven-day free trial. The Discovery+ student discount gives you unlimited access to more than 55,000 episodes of current and classic shows from channels like HGTV, Food Network, TLC, ID, Lifetime, Discovery Channel, and more.

Spotify with Hulu and Showtime

Last but not least, and arguably one of the most popular college student discounts, is the Spotify Premium bundle with Hulu and Showtime. For only $4.99/month, eligible college students can get Spotify Premium (regularly $9.99/month), the Hulu ad-supported plan (regularly $5.99/month), and Showtime (regularly $10.99/month) bundled together on one bill. Students who already subscribe to Hulu and Showtime can apply their current accounts to the Spotify student bundle.

Streaming your favorite shows, gaming with roommates, and attending hybrid classes is going to require a certain amount of internet speed for the best performance. While college students living in dorms probably don’t get to choose their internet providers, students living off-campus can use our Complete Guide to Internet Speed to help find the best option for their digital lifestyles.
