Simu Liu’s career seems to continue to accelerate after his appearance in the Marvel movie, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. According to a report from Deadline, he will now be joining April Mullen’s sci-fi thriller project Hello Stranger. He will compete acting with Jordana Brewster, Sam Worthington, Robbie Amell, and Alicia Sanz with the film project which is currently filming in the Toronto area, Canada.
Hello Stranger follows the story of Faye (Brewster), a woman who seeks comfort after losing her husband Evan (Luke Grimes) by using an android simulant (SIM) in the form of her husband. She can’t make herself love the android in the same way she loves her husband even though the two are almost identical in every way, this makes Evan’s SIM love one sided.

SIM Evan is then determined to win his heart back while avoiding the pursuit of a government agent (Worthington) who is on the hunt for a self-conscious and potentially dangerous SIM. But unfortunately there is no information about the role that will be played by Simu Liu.
As we know, Shang-Chi is definitely Liu’s standout performance, but in fact he has been entertaining audiences for years outside the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Jung in the hit sitcom, Kim’s Convenience, which has ended in 2021.
