Secretary of Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg had a weirdly tense and terse response when a reporter requested him concerning the residents struggling within the wake of the East Palestine practice catastrophe, refusing to reply questions, saying he was on “private time.”
Buttigieg was in Washington D.C. Tuesday, when a reporter with the Day by day Caller approached him and requested what he would say to the parents in East Palestine. His response — “I might refer you to a few dozen interviews I’ve given as we speak, and if you would like to rearrange a dialog, be certain to achieve out to our press workplace.”
When the reporter persevered, Buttigieg, who was strolling along with his husband Chasten, brushed her off, saying, “… I am taking some private time and I am strolling down the road.”
That wasn’t the tip … the reporter requested when the previous presidential candidate would go to East Palestine, he mentioned he’d “share that after I’m prepared.”
After which the weird flip … he stopped and requested the reporter if he may take an image of her. It appeared like an intimidation tactic … the reporter later Tweeted, “I assume he did not like that so he took a pic of me … simply doing my job, sir.”
Buttigieg has introduced he’ll journey to East Palestine Thursday.
