Lost City is an action drama film that hit theaters on March 23, 2022, with a duration of 1 hour 52 minutes, featuring stars who have fans all over the world. It can be said that the presence of stars such as Sandra Bullock (Loretta Sage), Channing Tatum (Alan) and Daniel Radcliffe, has been able to attract attention and make many audiences look forward to the screening of this film in Indonesia. As for the storyline, you will find many similar storylines to Η Χαμένη Πόλη (2022) film, but in this film the emphasis is on comedy action, which is closer to a sitcom but does not forget the basic essence of romance drama.
Here’s the official synopsis of The Lost City:

This is revealed in the synopsis that has been reported through the media to social media channels in general, as follows. Brilliant, but introverted writer Loretta Sage (Sandra Bullock) has spent her career writing about exotic places in popular romance-adventure novels featuring handsome cover model Alan (Channing Tatum). Alan has dedicated his life to embodying the hero character, “Dash.”
While on tour promoting her new book with Alan, Loretta is kidnapped by an eccentric billionaire (Daniel Radcliffe) who hopes he can lead her to the lost ancient city treasure of her latest saga. Wanting to prove that he can be a real-life hero and not just the pages of his book, Alan sets out to save him. The interesting thing in this film is that scene after scene is taken with a wide and short angle, giving a unique appearance and not boring to the eye.
With the presence of Seth Gordon in the production line, it feels like there is an element of satire in the style of Seth, when he exaggerates the figure of Alan here, which is displayed appropriately by Channing Tatum. Not to mention Sandra Bullock’s acting, as usual, is able to show the naivety of female figures, but doesn’t easily fall into the romance of her own work. The intelligence of the character she plays, Loretta Sage, also looks adorable to the audience, because her character always feels awkward around people she doesn’t know, but is especially disturbed by the presence of Alan who secretly adores her.

For the pursuit of treasure with all its intricacies, the problem appears natural but not surprising, it can even be said that the entire storyline until the end is very easy to guess by the audience, even though the twist presented at the end of the story seems to give a signal that there will be a sequel.
However, because there are many repetitions of scenes that are similar to the action adventure genre in general, in some parts it feels a bit saturated for the audience and of course expects something more from the appearance of their favorite stars. It doesn’t feel like something that can make the audience fascinated, surprised by the storyline.
However, for fans, viewers who expect a film that is able to provide entertainment on the sidelines of a tired work routine, then this film can be an alternative to watch.
