Knives Out 2 has finished filming, fans can’t wait for the latest news from Knives Out 2. Luckily for them, Daniel Craig was happy to comply. Daniel Craig has been very busy lately. Not only has he starred in the latest Bond film No Time to Die, which will mark his final appearance as Agent 007, but he’s also recently completed filming Knives Out 2.
Writer and director Rian Johnson announced on Twitter that Knives Out 2 has wrapped filming. We still don’t have a release date for Knives Out 2, but with production finished, we can expect to see some footage of the highly anticipated sequel sooner than later.
In his original tweet, Johnson used the announcement to compliment another filmmaker, Leos Carax, whose movie Annette premiered as the opening feature of this year’s Cannes Film Festival. Johnson’s tweet reads: “We just wrapped production on the next Benoit Blanc mystery and also I finally watched Annette and holy shit it’s amazing. Sending so much love and gratitude to our INCREDIBLE crew and cast and Leos Carax!” If Johnson already has the time to relax and appreciate another director’s work, production must be moving on time. That is good news for everyone since it shouldn’t take long for fans to watch Mr. Blanc’s (Daniel Craig)
In an interview with Empire, he found time in his busy schedule to give fans a quick update on the highly anticipated sequel to Knives Out. According to Benoit Blanc himself, this film is very different from its predecessors but in decidedly good ways. Craig said: I’m so lucky to have Rian [Johnson] in my life. He’s a great writer. The script arrived and I was literally like, ‘Are you kidding me?’ I can’t believe that he wants me to play it. I went, ‘It says your Southern accent goes here. Is that true?’ And he’s like, ‘Yeah?’ We just finished the second one, literally a few weeks ago. They just finished in Serbia. Dare I say it’s better? We will see later. I don’t want to test fate. It’s different, and that’s the amazing thing. It’s still a mystery to Benoit Blanc, but very different. I’m very excited about it.
