Jurassic World Dominion Movie Synopsis, and the Facts

World cinemas are currently showing the sequel to Jurassic World, namely Jurassic World Dominion. It is the third film in the Jurassic World trilogy and a direct sequel to the 2018 film Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Jurassic World Dominion is also the sixth film in the Jurassic Park film series and will be the conclusion of the Jurassic World saga as a whole.

The sequel was first confirmed by Fallen Kingdom director Juan Antonio Bayona. Filming began in Canada in February 2020 and the film was released internationally on June 10, 2022. It was previously scheduled for release on June 11, 2021, but was pushed back a year due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

 

Synopsis Jurassic World Dominion

According to Jurassic Wiki, Dominion takes place four years after Isla Nublar was destroyed. Dinosaurs now live and hunt alongside humans all over the world. This delicate balance will reshape the future and determine whether humans will remain the apex predator on the planet now inhabited alongside the most terrifying creatures in history.

Jurassic World Dominion takes place four years after the events of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, which sees a subset of John Hammond’s prehistoric creations rescued from the catastrophic events of Isla Nublar, only to be auctioned off to war criminals and profiteers, or released into the wild by Owen Grady (Chris Pratt). ), Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard), and the human clone Maisie Lockwood (Isabella Sermon).

Owen and Claire rush into a world-wide adventure when Maisie and baby velociraptor Beta are kidnapped by a mysterious assailant. Along the way, Jurassic World leads a crossroads with Jurassic Park survivors Alan Grant (Sam Neill), Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern), and Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) who are on a mission to save the world of their own.

Jurassic World Dominion Facts

Jurassic World: Dominion movie will mark the first time since the original Jurassic Park that Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum reprise their original roles together in a Jurassic Park film. Dominion also marks twenty years since Neil and Dern reprising their roles as Alan Grant and Ellie Sattler together in film. However, Dominion isn’t the first time Neill, Dern, and Goldblum have reprised their roles together in Jurassic Park since the original film. The three reprise their respective roles in the non-canon DLC “Return to Jurassic Park” from the video game Jurassic World Evolution. This is the first time in the franchise that the entire trilogy of films was composed by the same person, namely Michael Giacchino. Its delay to a new release date, from June 2021 to June 10, 2022, marks the second time a Jurassic Park/World film has been delayed from its original release date, the first being Jurassic Park III.
