The film Death on the Nile managed to collect US $ 12.8 million in its debut week while sailing to lead the achievement of the US box office this time. Variety reported on Sunday (13/2), that Śmierć na Nilu (2022) debut was as predicted, around US$11 to US$14 million in three days of screening in 3,280 theaters in North America.
However, the acquisition of Death of the Nile is not a guarantee that the film will be able to smoothly return the production costs of US $ 90 million and some additional expenses due to delays during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Death on the Nile is directed by Kenneth Branagh, who previously worked on Murder on the Orient Express. Death on the Nile is adapted from Agatha Christie’s popular novel of the same name.

Death on the Nile again follows famed detective Hercule Poirot (Kenneth Branagh) as he tries to solve a murder aboard a yacht sailing on the Nile in Egypt. The film, which stars Gal Gadot, Armie Hammer, Annette Bening, Russell Brand and Letitia Wright, received a score of 60 percent on the Rotten Tomatoes website and was awarded a B score on CinemaScore.
Meanwhile in the international market, Death on the Nile earned US$20.7 million from screenings in 47 countries except China Meanwhile, the film Jackass Forever by director Jeff Tremaine had to settle for being in second place at the box office this week. The film recorded revenues of US $ 8 million.
