The accident occurred over the weekend on the PRCA ProRodeo occasion in Lewiston, Idaho … and it was dangerous. J.B. was tossed from a bucking bull, and he landed proper on his head/neck.
“I underwent surgical procedure [at St. Joseph Regional Medical] on my neck which required a rod/plates/screws and the removing of a disc. Surgical procedure went nice,” Mauney revealed on social media.
The 2x World Champion continued … “Sadly with the surgical procedure it ended my bullriding profession, simply wished to let everybody know that I’m okay and now on the highway to restoration!
J.B. additionally thanked the medical professionals who helped take care of him.
