Andrew Garfield says he is eager to return to acting with Tom Holland and Tobey Maguire. Garfield also said he was open to ideas that would make him worthy of returning to Spider-Man. “In terms of moving forward with the character, yes, I’m open to that,” Garfield said on the Happy Sad Confused podcast.
“Again, it has to be something very unique, very special, and a special presentation to the audience and the characters. There is something cheerful, unique, unusual and unpredictable that has to be done,” he continued. “I’m not sure what it is, but we can find it and it would be a lot of fun,” Garfield said. He added, “I want to continue working with Tobey [Maguire] and Tom [Holland]. The dynamic of the three brothers is very interesting.”

Previously, the Peter Parker actor had said that he was interested in returning to making Spider-Man films as long as the story idea was appropriate.”Peter and Spider-Man, those characters are about serving, for the greater good and for the many people,” Garfield said in an interview with Variety on Thursday (6/1).
“If there was an opportunity to step back and tell more about that (Spider-Man) story, I would feel very confident in myself.” Andrew Garfield previously played Peter Parker in director Marc Webb’s two Spider-Man films, The Amazing Spider-Man and The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
Unfortunately, the second film was considered a failure and drew criticism from fans. The flood of criticism then led to the cancellation of the third film The Amazing Spider-Man by Sony.
Garfield finally has the opportunity to return to the Spider-Man superhero costume in 2021 with Spider-Man: No Way Home. Sony and Marvel’s decision to unite Tom Holland, Tobey Maguire, and Andrew Garfield paid off sweetly. With over $1.625 billion in revenue, Spider-Man: No Way Home is one of the most successful films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
In addition to being a place where three generations of Spider-Man unite, No Way Home also brings out the old villain characters who have appeared as opponents of Spider-Man before. Fans feel nostalgic with the presence of Willem Dafoe as Green Goblin, Alfred Molina as Doc Ock, and Jamie Foxx as Electro.
