14 Characters and Main Characters in Spider-Man: No Way Home

Spider-Man: No Way Home will hit theaters today, Wednesday (15/12). This film is the largest of the Spider-Man: Homecoming trilogy in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). So, it’s no wonder that this film features a lot of characters, both new and old, and of course, a lot of cast.

A series of old faces will appear in this film. Judging from the trailer, Spider-Man: No Way Home película completa doesn’t seem to be introducing any new characters here. Even if there are new characters in the MCU, they are characters that have been introduced in the previous Spider-Man franchise.

News Movie, viewers will be familiar with characters such as Peter Parker, Doctor Strange, MJ, Ned or Aunt May. Longtime fans will also recognize a number of villains from the previous Spider-Man franchise who appeared in this film. So, who are they? Here’s the review!

1. Peter Parker/Spider-Man — Tom Holland

Introduced in Captain America: Civil War (2016), Peter Parker/Spider-Man has earned a place in the hearts of MCU fans. After appearing in 2 solo films and 3 gang films, Peter will close his trilogy in this franchise. In Spider-Man: No Way Home, Peter is distraught after his identity is revealed by Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) in Far From Home (2019). His life is so messed up. He went to Doctor Strange for help.

2. Doctor Strange — Benedict Cumberbatch

Doctor Stephen Strange is expected to mentor Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) for Peter Parker in Spider-Man: No Way Home. He was the first person Peter met after his identity was exposed in Far From Home. The trailer has shown that Strange’s chaotic spell will bring the multiverse to Spider-Man: No Way Home.

3. MJ — Zendaya

MJ officially became Peter’s girlfriend in Far From Home. In Spider-Man: No Way Home ganzer film, the revelation of Peter’s identity as Spidey puts a strain on their relationship. However, MJ seems to be able to accept Peter as he is. These two teenagers are both in love.

4. Ned Leeds — Jacob Batalon

Ned is the picture of a true friend. He was always there for Peter, providing moral support and everything. Although he was also a freak, but Ned had high self-confidence. His silly behavior is the comic relief in every Spider-Man movie. In Spider-Man: No Way Home, he will help Peter solve his problems.

5. Aunt May — Marisa Tomei

Aunt May loved Peter Parker very much. He would do anything for his nephew. Lastly, he was in a relationship with Happy Hogan. In Spider-Man: No Way Home, Aunt May will also return to support Peter.

6. Otto Octavius/Doctor Octopus — Alfred Molina

Introduced as the enemy of the MCU version of Spider-Man, Doc Ock graced much of the promo material for Spider-Man: No Way Home. He is a villain from the world of Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy in the early 2000s. Otto is an intelligent scientist who appears in Spider-Man 2, played by Alfred Molina. In Spider-Man: No Way Home, Alfred returns to play this character again.

7. Happy Hogan — Jon Favreau

The driver and confidant of Tony Stark/Iron Man has put his trust in Peter Parker after his actions in Homecoming. Happy is Peter’s savior in Far From Home. He has a love affair with Aunt May. In Spider-Man: No Way Home, Happy is seen crying in the trailer for the film.

8. Norman Osborn/Green Goblin — Willem Dafoe

One of Spider-Man’s mortal enemies in the comics will debut in the MCU with Spider-Man: No Way Home streaming. The Green Goblin is the main villain facing Tobey Maguire’s version of Spider-Man in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man (2002). Played by Willem Dafoe, the Green Goblin is one of the most terrifying villains in the Spider-Man universe. Willem will reprise his role as the Green Goblin in No Way Home.

9. Max Dillon/Electro — Jamie Foxx

Max Dillon was an electrical employee at Oscorp in The Amazing Spider-Man. After falling into a tank full of electric eels, he gains new powers and transforms into Electro. Still played by Jamie Foxx from The Amazing Spider-Man, Electro will appear as one of the villains in Spider-Man: No Way Home. In the trailer, he will get a new appearance.

10. Flint Marko/Sandman — Thomas Haden Church

In Spider-Man 3 (2007), Flint Marko is known as the man who killed Tobey Maguire’s version of Peter Parker’s Uncle Ben. After an accident, he transforms into a Sandman. In the film, Spider-Man doesn’t kill Sandman in the final battle. Thomas Haden Church will reprise his role as Sandman in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

11. Doctor Cur Connors/Lizard — Rhys Ifans

Connors is a kind scientist. However, his mind turned evil as a result of one of his experiments, namely a serum intended to inspire regenerative abilities. He was the villain in The Amazing Spider-Man (2012). He survived his fight with Spider-Man. He returned to his human form and was admitted to a mental hospital. Connors will return as Lizard in No Way Home. He returns to being evil and retains his appearance from The Amazing Spider-Man.

12. J Jonah Jameson — JK Simmons

J Jonah Jameson is an iconic character from the Spider-Man universe. In Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy, he is the chief editor of the Daily Bugle newspaper. The character played by JK Simmons really hates Spider-Man and always looks for his ugliness to make news in the newspapers. Ironically, one of his freelance photographers, Peter Parker, is actually Spider-Man. In the MCU, J Jonah Jameson debuted in the post-credits scene of Far From Home playing the same actor. He’s back in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

13. Flash Thompson — Tony Revolori

Flash Thompson is Peter Parker’s schoolmate. Along the journey of Spider-Man on the big screen, there have been three actors who have played this character. They are Joe Manganiello, Chris Zylka and Tony Revolori. Flash is the bully and Peter is the target. In the MCU, this character is played by Tony Revolori. In Spider-Man: No Way Home, the Flash will have a new appearance.

14. Wong — Benedict Wong

Wong is likely to be an important figure in Phase 4 of the MCU. After appearing in the post-credits scene of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings as an influential figure in the Avengers, Wong will appear in Spider-Man: No Way Home. In the trailer, Wong warns Strange not to cast a spell like Peter Parker asked.
